UCA JUNE MEETING. . .2018

On Saturday, June 16, 2018, we once again gathered at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center to learn to letter the Neuland alphabet using watercolors and a flat brush.  This class was taught by Liz Margetts, and she used UCA's new document camera to demonstrate the process.

Although Summer was about to begin officially, many people were already taking vacations and attending family reunions––and yet, we had a good attendance.

Neuland is a wonderful alphabet for flat brush work, and many participants did a splendid job forming the letters, even though, for them, the flat brush was a new tool.

After viewing May's homework, many stayed to try their hand at making a small book which was taught by Faye Maxfield.

Days later, several members of our guild displayed their flat brush Neuland pieces on Instagram to enthusiastic response.

PLEASE CHECK THE HOMEWORK TAB AT THE VERY TOP OF THIS PAGE TO SEE THE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT AND BE SURE TO BRING IT WITH YOU WHEN YOU ATTEND THE SEPTEMBER MEETING.
