These are examples of Carole's beautiful Decorated and Illuminated Capital Letters.

You won't want to miss this class!

SUPPLIES TO BRING:

• At least two colors of tube gouache or watercolor

• White gouache or Dr. Martin's Bleed Proof White

• Black Pigma Pens  01 and 03 or 05 or equivalent.  Be sure it is waterproof if you bring another brand.

• White Gell Marker (make sure it works)

• Pencil

• Pan watercolors

• Small pointed brush and a larger pointed brush

• Water container and Paper towels

• Small container with lid for some Gesso (if you want some, Nancy O, will have a little to give each one).

• Regular Calligraphy Supplies (these are very important)

IF YOU HAVE THESE, PLEASE BRING:  Ruling Pen, pan gold and small pieces (about 8X10) of good white paper (such as Arches hot press––you want it to be pretty smooth). We will have some paper for you, also.

We will also be painting another background for our marvelous  journal, so bring that and be prepared for another fun technique.

Remember to check the HOMEWORK  and HANDOUTS tabs at the top of this page for the APRIL homework assignment and all the handouts for APRIL plus handouts for January, February and March!!  Also remember to practice.  Those who practice will be rewarded.

REMEMBER TO BRING ITEMS FOR OUR UCA FLEA MARKET!!  This is a great time to sort through your books and supplies and take out those you haven't used for a long while.  You can then donate them to UCA, and members can choose to pay an amount they think these supplies are worth.  The money goes to help with our meetings and the awards given for monthly homework completed.

If you have something you would like to sell instead of donate, bring these items also, but be sure to price them before you come.
